Activities

The Okavango River hosts a healthy fish population and offers some of the best sport fishing in Africa. The Tiger Fish hunts in the crystal clear open waters which offer unforgettable fishing, for the novice and experienced angler alike. The lodge has five well equipped fishing boats, each one skippered by well trained and experienced fishing guides. We suggest that avid sport fishermen bring their own equipment for both fly and lure fishing.

Guests will have the opportunity of guided, boating excursions to admire the abundant birdlife, taking time to search for the more rare and endemic bird species (Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, White Backed Night Heron, and the Narina Trogon).

The lodge offers day trips to Tsodilo Hills, to view the Bushman Paintings. An hour’s drive away, your professional guide will take you on a guided tour through the Hills, followed by a picnic lunch, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon. There is also game-viewing in Mahangu National Park, across the border in Namibia.
