For budget-conscious travelers, we offer budget rooms with single or bunk beds. The budget rooms share the ablution facilities with the camping site. The camping site at Gweta Lodge has a fire pit for cooking as well as meeting other guests.
Day 1 Overnight in Gweta Lodge and get yourselves ready for an experience of a lifetime.
Day 2 Travel either by Quad Bike or Safari vehicles to the largest open pans in the world, the Makgadigadi Pans. Enjoy the beauty of the wonderland and endless space. Enjoy a five star dinner before going to bed in the world's largest "bedroom". Gazing at the stars and enjoying a last bedtime drink before you fall asleep in unique luxury.
Day 3 Travel back to Gweta Lodge while still enjoying the beauty of these endless plains. The last night will be spent back at the lodge.
For the more adventurous, Gweta Lodge offers power kiting and land yachting on the Makgadikgadi Pans. Tear along with a kite or permanent sail attached to your tiny buggy, across the pans, at speeds of 60 km/h, while you are only a few centimetres from the salt surface. After this adventure you will never be the same!
