At the Canyon Village you will be delighted by the unique atmosphere. The chalets are placed in a horse-shoe design and when you arrive there, a cart drawn by mules might just be waiting to take you to your chalet. From the deck at the pool you can relax, soak up the sun’s rays and watch the sun set over this picturesque desert landscape. In the buffet area you will encounter an ox-wagon that is literary hundreds of years old and a horse cart stands proudly in the cosy bar. Despite the unique, old-world atmosphere, you will not be disappointed by the modern facilities. For your convenience there is a restaurant, bar, pool, secure parking, 24-hour security and great mobile connectivity. The staff members are mostly Nama, one of the first peoples of Southern Africa. Animals like zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok and springbok roam these parts and can be seen on a 4x4 game drive. Using the Canyon Village as a base, you can visit the breath-taking Fish River Canyon which is one of Namibia’s star attractions and only 20 kms away.
