Before independence the Mount Etjo declaration was signed at the lodge by representatives of different nations and UN respresentatives. This ultimately lead to the independence of Namibia.
At Mount Etjo Safari Lodge you will simply discover nature and nature will discover you. At the waterholes you will often spot mammals such as nyala quenching their thirst while you do so in luxury.
Mount Etjo is situated near Otjiwarongo in one of the most scenic parts of Namibia.
Mount Etjo's main suite is beautifully furnished with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with large round bathtub, a private dining and sitting room, as well as a private garden with jacuzzi. Mount Etjo Safari Lodge's junior suite is furnished with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi and a small lounge. The other rooms are furnished with two double beds, a spacious en-suite shower and jacuzzi.
This game reserve is famous for hundreds of species of birds and a large variety of mammals which can be heard and seen on the game drive. Among the mammals are some of the big five, such as elephant, black rhino, leopard and lion as well as white rhino, hippo, giraffe, cheetah and antelope, ranging from kudu to the diminuative Damara dik-dik.
Mount Etjo's meals are simply out of this world and are served in our traditional Lapa. Before and after meals you can relax with a drink around open fires.
