Day 1: Cape Town to Stellenbosch. (Driving distance 45 km) Visit the wineland district. Taste wine and have a delicious meal in the beautiful surroundings.

Day 2 & 3: Stellenbosch to Oudtshoorn (Driving distance 395 km) Follow the scenic Route 62 to the Little Karoo town. See the famous Cango Caves and visit an ostrich farm.

Day 4: Oudtshoorn to Tsitsikamma (Driving distance 220 km) Drive over the rugged mountain pass to the forests of Tsitsikamma. Take a walk along the sparkling rivers and through green forests .

Day 5: Tsitsikamma to Addo Elephant park (Driving distance 230 km) See this Nature Reserve with its wide diversity of game and birdlife. .

Day 6: Addo to Knysna (Driving distance 305 km) Visit the lagoon in this attractive town in the forested mountain area. Enjoy a fresh oyster and beer before you follow the stunning garden route back towards Cape Town.

Day 7: Knysna to Hermanus (Driving distance 410 km) Whale watching in the seaside town is one of the favourite activities. In the right season you might be lucky and spot one of the huge creatures.

Day 8: Hermanus to Cape Town (Driving distance 140 km) Choose the breath-taking scenic coastal route via Pringle Bay back to Cape Town. Be sure to schedule a few days in Cape Town to enjoy some of the many activities available.
