Tamarind Lodge offers accommodation in individual self-catering (self-contained) lodges, scattered in a green, shady, treed garden. Each lodge is en suite and is equipped with fans, cutlery, crockery, beds with bedding and a two-plate stove. The Grade D and E lodges contain a fridge, while the Grade F lodges come without a fridge. Each lodge has its own braai area, and wood can be bought at reception.
While the Tamarind Lodge in Kariba is ideal for a family holiday, it is perfectly suited for large groups, including school or church groups, workshops, soccer teams and so on. Up to 70 people can be accommodated.
Tamarind Lodge in Kariba, Zimbabwe, will soon be adding a plunge pool to our facilities. The pool will be situated next to the river that runs through the grounds of Tamarind Lodge. There are a number of zebra herds in the vicinity of lodge in Zimbabwe and they frequently wander into the grounds to sample the soft, green grass. Although they are not tame, they are docile and you can get quite close to them. One or two elephants have also been known to peek at visitors, but they are kept out of the grounds by means of a fence surrounding.
